Emily Schramm - I've been in the business for over thirty years. I started working with my brother, Frank Schramm, a photographer here in New York City where I worked as his studio manager, assistant and stylist. I learned all aspects of the business and eventually made phone calls and met with potential clients showing portfolios, hence Emily Schramm - Photo Representative. I had other photographers too and had a small agency. Soon I had the pleasure of working with Susan O'Gorman as a client. We became friends, she became an agent and one day Susan had the bright idea of joining our agencies, hence O'Gorman-Schramm was born. We have been in business for twelve years and look forward to many more.
Susan O'Gorman - I started in this business working in model agencies...first job in the industry was at Ford Models...and from there I went to a smaller model agency where I had lots of fun, and made some good friends and enjoyed all the opportunities our industry had to offer in the '80s. After a few years of dealing with models I decided the client side must be better...so for the next 10 years I worked in a few catalog agencies doing casting, art buying and lots and lots of photo production. It wasn't much of a career plan but those 10 years fully prepared me for having my own business and representing photographers which I decided to do when I was pregnant with my first child. He is now 15.
Emily and I decided to merge our individual businesses 12 years ago and over the past decade and a half we have worked with some outstanding talent and we continue to fight the good fight for the people we represent.
